I want to get better at animating and drawing, and I figure a good way to do that is to join one of the many collab projects I see people contributing to. but I'm nervous about joining any of them. I don't know why. I know what I'm gonna make is trash. but that's kinda the point of the style I use because I don't exactly have much free time on my hands to improve it. at least not quickly. and I've never done an art collab before. and art projects I've joined in the past have ended up being enveloped by my overambitious ideas and enthusiasm. I don't want to take over a project again. I know that wouldn't happen but still. I'm not necessarily the best at communicating in general, which makes both collaboration and art a bit difficult considering both require social skills for networking and getting the point you want across.

I guess what I'm really trying to ask is, does anyone have any good suggestions on where to start?
